The Patriots are wounded and reeling, burdened by the baggage of an un-Patriot-like 2-3 record since Thanksgiving. Yet they still enjoy an enviable position entering the Week 17 finale in Miami. Even if everything goes wrong this weekend, including a loss to the Dolphins, the Patriots enjoy a week off to rest and recuperate before playing its next meaningful game, at home, in mid-January.
