A big part of customer service is common sense. Unfortunately, it’s not always as common as it should be. Knowing right from wrong is common sense. Yet there are some people who cross over to the “wrong side” and damage relationships, or worse, commit what I call Crimes Against the Customer. These crimes in the business world are what companies and employees commit against their customers by abusing them with bad customer service. The difference is that when these crimes are committed, the people involved don’t go to jail. They lose their customers.
