Farida Gyamfua Mahama the 8-year-old daughter of President, John Dramani Mahama has penned an emotional letter to her father after he lost the Ghanaian presidential election for a second term. The handwritten letter which was shared on the official Instagram page of the president, consoles President Mahama electoral defeat and commended him for his achievements during his tenure as president of the country. Read below the emotional letter Farida wrote: "I have faith in my daddy, God has faith in my daddy. Daddy has worked so hard to change lives and transform Ghana, he has done so many things, schools, roads. He has done all the things he needs to do not to say even more. He has done his best and that is the important thing". Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), beat Mahama become president-elect of the Republic of Ghana in the 2016 presidential election. The former foreign minister secured a stunning victory over his National Democratic Congress (NDC) rival and incumbent president, John Mahama, in an election that involved 15 million voters.
