Apple released a new 3.7.2 firmware update for the AirPods. The new update most likely includes bug fixes and performance enhancements. If you are an AirPod owner, expect to see a new firmware update on your wireless AirPods, the new 3.7.2 firmware update will be automatically installed when the AirPods are in the charging case while the charging case is plugged in and charging, and when the AirPod is connected to the iPhone. The update is most likely to occur during this process. As of now, Apple has not released or provided notes on exactly what the new 3.7.2 firmware updates are, the good news is, Apple has made it possible for users to check to see if the update has occurred on the user’s device. You can see if your device is updated by first making sure you are connected to your iOS device, then launch the Settings app on your iOS device, tap General , tap About, scroll down and tap AirPods, at this point you should be able to see which firmware update number is running on the AirPod.
