I work at a software company which primarily services manufacturing/industrial customers. We host a suite of 20+ legacy applications, and our mobile apps are still running on Windows Mobile 6.5. We are beginning the arduous journey of redoing these apps in UWP, and I am a little conflicted about which OS to choose: Android, or Windows IoT Enterprise. Does anyone have any thoughts about the pros and cons between the two? Has anyone released software on either OS and regretted it? I just want to make sure we're going in the right direction here. I understand that Xamarin can be utilized to make a UWP application cross-platform, but I also wonder if there is a downside to doing this that I am not aware of. ...
