I, and I’m sure all Baseball fans, enjoyed the playoffs and a well-played, thrilling, seven-games World Series. Too bad one team had to lose. Congrats to the Houston Astros. They are true champions. Kudos to the players, teams’ management and the commissioner of Major League Baseball. Unlike what has been displayed by the NFL, due respect for the game, the fans and the symbols of our national pride was exhibited by all participants. Although the teams are staffed by multi-ethnic players, their pride and respect for America was exemplary and sincere. (NFL, take note: You have lost me and countless others.) Being a veteran, I felt honored and respected by Baseball. It restored my faith in America.
