An Elgin man was charged with criminal trespassing and aggravated assault when he allegedly broke into a Kirkland home and threatened the occupants with a Baseball bat. Chad K. Falkenberg, 41, of the 600 block of Congdon Ave. in Elgin, was arrested and charged early Saturday morning after entering a residence in the 200 block of Hortense Drive in Kirkland without permission, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Falkenberg entered while the occupants were sleeping. They were awoken to Falkenberg threatening one of them with a Baseball bat, police said. Falkenberg was located in the residence after the occupants fled on foot and dialed 911. He was taken into custody and transported to DeKalb County jail. ...
