Position: Cleveland Indians Baseball Operations Intern Location: Cleveland Description: To assist with virtually all facets of the Baseball Operations department while gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Major League Baseball front office. Responsibilities: Baseball Operations: Gather and coordinate information for Baseball planning and decision-making. Perform analytical, scouting, financial and/or statistical studies as assigned or as interest dictates. Coordinate, collect and analyze video for studies and potential player acquisitions throughout the season (at the Trade Deadline, in the offseason, etc.). Assist with negotiation planning, arbitration preparation and organization of contract information. Interact with the front office, scouts, coaches and members of the Baseball community. Player Development: Produce written and verbal player assessments by collecting, organizing and analyzing player data. Coordinate the distribution of daily game reports to front office and field personnel. Coordinate pitch-tracking and video-related game information. Professional/Advance Scouting: Coordinate the collection of relevant advance scouting information. Analyze relevant statistics to evaluate and analyze performance trends.
