GamesCom, the biggest video game convention in Europe, will be missing a Blizzard booth this year, as the developer has announced that it will not be attending the show. According to Blizzard , the decision has been made as part of its effort to focus on the development of its current games and future titles. However, despite not appearing at the show, Blizzard merchandise will still be available in the shop area. Read the developer’s full statement below: As part of a renewed effort this year to maintain our focus on development, for our current games and our future projects, we won’t have a booth at GamesCom 2019. The show is an important one for the European and global gaming community, and we’re going to miss meeting players in Cologne this year. You’ll still be able to find Blizzard gear in the GamesCom 2019 shop area, and we’re looking forward to returning to the GamesCom show floor in the future. We’re also looking forward to sharing more details about the projects we’re currently working on when the time is right. GamesCom 2019 takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 20th-24th. In other news, Blizzard recently shared the first details about its own convention, BlizzCon. The event will return to Anaheim, Texas on November 1st and November 2nd and will be bigger than ever thanks to the introduction of the BlizzCon Pregame Festivities on October 31st. ...
