As part of the NFL’s Heads Up Football campaign to promote player safety in youth football leagues around the country, the Texans will be presenting six local Heads Up Football leagues with grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 and totaling $40,000. The recipients are the Central Houston Titans ($2,500), the Huntsville Youth Football League ($2,500), the Port Arthur Junior Bees ($5,000), Winners in Training ($10,000) and the Dayton Youth Football League ($10,000). The money will go toward funding safety equipment, including new helmets, shoulder pads and field equipment. ...
