The South team triumphed in Saturday's Senior Bowl showcase, putting on some impressive tape for NFL scouts. The South team put on a clinic in the 2016 Senior Bowl, dispatching the North team, 27-16, in a game that served as the climax to a week of practices. Dak Prescott led the South team with one touchdown and 61 yards on 7-of-10 passing. Carson Wentz had big momentum after a strong practice week, but he was mostly a footnote in this game, completing 6 of 10 passes for 50 yards. South had a productive first quarter, though struggles by both Jake Coker and Carson Wentz limited productivity on the opening drives. The defenses looked a step above the offenses throughout, but eventually, Aaron Green broke a 25-yard touchdown run to put the South squad up by a touchdown. Following the touchdown, the North went for a fourth-and-three from their own territory, and Wentz's pass to Braxton Miller fell incomplete later. South then lost 3 yards on their ensuing drive, but they were already in field goal range and Ross Martin kicked one in from 48 yards out to make it a 10-0 game. The North finally got on the board late in the second quarter after a 12-play, 55-yard drive led by Kevin Hogan at quarterback. Hogan hit Nick Vannett for a 26-yard pass to get into South territory, and after a successful fourth-down conversion just outside of the red zone, the North stalled out at the South 18-yard line. Ka'imi Fairbairn kicked a 36-field goal ...
