Apple recently launched a new iTunes movie promotion that should leave those who’d rather not spend the usual $4.99/£4.49 per rental, jumping for joy … The promotion -which launched to relatively low fanfare for the first time last Tuesday- will see iTunes customers able to rent a movie at the discount price of just £1.99 HD , for 24 hours. “Introducing Treat Yourself Tuesday! Every week we handpick a standout recent film and offer it to rent for less than half price for 24 hours,” Apple wrote in its announcement email to users. Tom Ford’s thrilling Nocturnal Animals was the first movie to get Apple’s flash discount treatment.
