If you’ve never heard of Accenture, let us put it this way. This is the company that more or less backed Microsoft in the LiMux saga, conducting a research commissioned by German authorities that eventually convinced them to abandon Linux and move to Windows. Accenture is also the consulting firm that went all-in on Microsoft software, and now the company is preparing the transition to Windows 10 for no less than 400,000 computers. In an announcement today, Microsoft reveals that Accenture aims to complete the upgrade to Windows 10 for all its computers by 2018 after previously kicking off a pilot program in September 2015. Accenture first wanted to determine whether all of its business applications are compatible with the new OS, and once validation was complete, they started the initial deployment.
