Every year we are all aware of the major events that take place during their respected times. With events such as E3 and GamesCom, big developers and publishers attend these events to gives us some insight on what to expect next from the company. In some cases, publishers will host their own separate event if they offer enough to host on a venue. This easily referring to Sony’s PlayStation Experience (PSX). The annual event takes place in December where studios under Sony’s belt like Guerrilla Games and Naughty Dog showcase some of the projects they have in the works. Along with a line of panels and booths to attend, the two-day event has a lot instore for fans who go each year. Unfortunately it was confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Chairman Shawn Layden, that Sony won’t be hosting the yearly event in the coming months. In the latest PlayStation Blogcast, he states when in discussion about the event: Now that we have Spider-Man out the door . . . we wouldn’t have enough to bring people altogether in some location in North America to have that event. We don’t want to set expectations really high and then not deliver on it. As many fans of the platform anticipate for the event each year, the absence of PSX for 2018 is understandable. With not enough under the publisher’s belt to host the event is fair enough to hold off for this year. Especially as we already know a majority of the anticipated first-party titles for Sony ...
