| James Kon | HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, the President of National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD), yesterday received the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Award for Aspiring Member Association at the opening ceremony of the 1st AFC Grassroots Conference being held in Kuala Lumpur from March 1-3. The announcement of the achievement for NFABD was actually made in late November last year during the Asian Football Confederation’s Annual Awards extravaganza that was held in Gurgaon near New Delhi, India. On hand to present the award at the ceremony to His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah was Dato’ Windsor John, AFC General Secretary. Following the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah in a message praised the hard work and contributions of all involved for achieving the award. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah further hoped that the new ExCO of NFABD would contribute more towards achieving the excellence in years to come. Le Hoai Anh, General Secretary for Vietnam Football Federation received AFC Grassroots Award for Developing Member Association and Mr Nakayama Masao from Japan Football Association received AFC Grassroots Award for Inspiring Member Association.
