Microsoft SharePoint for iOS is now available for download on App Store . The app is developed for iPhone and iPad users for now. It is planned to arrive on Android and Windows Universal in a couple of months as well, no later than year end. SharePoint is used by hundreds of thousands of organization to share news, documents, pages, and more. To meet the needs of businesses, SharePoint has now taken a leap into the mobile word, providing users with SharePoint content anytime and anywhere thanks to the easy-to-carry-around mobile devices. Microsoft officials claim that you can now take “intranet in your pocket”. Users can stay connected to sites, content, portals, and people from the intranet using their smartphone. The SharePoint app for iOS provides customers with access to team sites, portals, resources, and more. The new app features a “Sites” tab where users can find frequent SharePoint sites. This gains access to information such as recent activity, files, lists, pages, and other content. The “Links” tab provides a list of sites and portals in the company, while the “People” tab allows browsing through the lists of colleagues and enter their profile. Users can also see what their colleagues have been working on, including who they’ve been working with.
