The Washington State Baseball team hasn’t exactly come crashing out of the gates to open the season. They’re currently 7-14 overall and 3-5 in the Pac-12. Only Utah’s 5-20 overall record is worse. But the last two nights have been exciting. Both ended in walk-off wins at Bailey-Brayton Field against the Arizona State Sun Devils . Danny Sinatro was the hero last night, sending a line drive to center field to score J.J. Hancock from second and give WSU a 4-3 win in 11 innings . CLUTCH. @d_sin11 with the single to help @Cougbaseball win game two in extras is the @OpusBank #12Best moment. pic.twitter.com/eO9EqIc8Fy — Pac-12 Network (@Pac12Network) March 31, 2018 Scotty Sunitsch went 7.2 innings with seven strikeouts. The Cougs avoided trouble in the top of the ninth when a play at home ended the inning: OUT at home! @CougBaseball showing off that defense. On to the bottom of the 9th. Harrer hit a solo home run in the 10th inning to give WSU an 8-7 win in a game in which the Sun Devils got out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning. But a six-run second inning for WSU flipped the script, and the teams battled until Harrer’s heroics. BALL GAME!
