GamesCom is Europe's answer to E3. Held annually in Germany, it is a similarly huge event for gamers, with the biggest forthcoming titles on display for press, trade visitors and the public alike. This year's event is only around the corner, so here are the games and possible hardware we expect to see at the show. GamesCom started in 2009 and is held annually at the Koelnmesse convention centre in Cologne, Germany. It generally runs in mid to late-August. This year it starts with a press and trade-only day on Tuesday 20 August, with public days running from 21 - 24 August. Here are the show opening times for each day: Tuesday 20 August 2019: 7am to 8pm CEST (press and trade visitors only) Wednesday 21 August 2019: 9am (press and trade), 10am (public) to 8pm CEST Thursday 22 August 2019: 9am (press and trade), 10am (public) to 8pm CEST Friday 23 August 2019: 9am to 8pm CEST Saturday 24 August 2019: 9am to 8pm CEST Games 2019 press conferences While several companies traditional held press conferences and showcases at GamesCom, they are few and far between this year.
