The release of Metro Exodus might have already felt forever ago with the game launching back in February, but half a year is shorter than you might think. Regardless, since that time, developer 4A Games have been using that time wisely to bring the first of two expansions scheduled to arrive on time for the third installment on the game adaptation of Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. Announced at the Xbox Inside GamesCom presentation, it was revealed that the first expansion Two Colonels will be coming the following day, today. In the first downloadable content story, the player follows in the shoes of Colonel Khlebnikov as he returns to his son just in time to celebrate New Years Eve. However, the settlement is soon invaded by the mutant creatures inhabit the surface above the metro. Which then follows the story of Colonel Miller who tails Khlebnikov’s journey in the metro the year before. Expansion Two Colonels currently sits at $7.99 for purchase, or owners of the game can purchase the Expansion Pass for $24.99. Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One will get the pass discounted to $22.49. The developer also shared that the second expansion planned for the game is slated for a January 2020 launch next year. Earlier this month, publisher THQ Nordic revealed that the team over at 4A Games is already working on yet another title for the Metro series according to the company’s CEO Lars Wingefors during the latest investor meeting.
