Suda 51 to Attend Gamescom to Showcase Japan-Italy Student Collaboration Projects

Media Alert: Come and meet Suda51 at GamesCom at an open ‘Meet and Greet’ drinks event Legendary games designer, writer, and director Suda51 is set to appear at an open ‘Meet and Greet’ drinks event at GamesCom, it has been announced. Real name Goichi Suda, the Japansese luminary - whose library of acclaimed hits include Killer 7 and No More Heroes - will appear during a happy hour drinks social within Hall 10.2 at the Vigamus Academy / Link Campus University Booth. The social will run between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday 21st August, with Suda51 able to take questions from attending media about his upcoming venture, Project Infinito. For those not in the know, Project Infinito is a joint collaboration between video game universities Vantan Game Academy in Japan and VIGAMUS Academy / Link Campus University in Italy. The idea was for students from the two universities from two entirely different parts of the world to work together, delivering games directed by Suda-san, who is a teacher at both universities. Students from both universities worked on pitches then presented to Suda51, with two concepts eventually chosen from the line-up; Lullaby and Cosmo Express. Both games are made by a mixed team composed of students from both Japan and Italy.
