ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – UNM Football is in the heart of their spring season. The team is taking advantage of this time to learn their even more spread out offense from last year. Meanwhile, they are also down some key players from last year. The Lobos as of now are down three starting offensive lineman, two tight ends, two wide receivers, and last year’s leading rusher Jhurell Pressley. This is a part of the college game though, players come in and players go. Coach Davie says it’s vital that his team doesn’t feel like they are in a comfort zone right now, as they are a building team in a building program. “It’s really something that I learned from Lou Holtz. Every day it was the sky was falling in. I think that’s something about being an experienced coach, is that you move forward. There are days you want it to look bad, you find the true guys when it’s bad”, said UNM Head Football Coach Bob Davie. ...
