The New York Jets have reached an agreement with Ryan Fitzpatrick after a four-month contract stalemate. According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter the contract will be for one year, $12 million, and fully guaranteed. Fitzpatrick felt his season was worthy of $18 million while the Jets were weary of giving him that much. The Jets offered Fitzpatrick $9 million and kept that offer on the table for two months. According to NFL Media’s Jeff Darlington , the Jets increased their offer, but then included a 7 pm ET deadline to sign. Fitzpatrick wanted $18 mill… then $16. Jets stayed on $9 for two months. Schefter also reported that the deal includes incentives. While Fitzpatrick will make $12 million for sure, he could also make an extra $3 million boosting the deal to a possible $15 million.
