NVIDIA announced its latest GPUs during its GamesCom event in August. The GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti are the new graphics cards that are compatible with the company’s new overclocking tool that simplifies the entire process into a one-click operation. The new graphics cards were set to go on sale come September 20th but the release has been pushed back for at least one of them. A post on the official GeForce forums from a community moderator confirms that there has been a slight change in the availability details of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. The new graphics card will now go on sale come September 27th instead of September 20th. Pre-orders are expected to arrive between these two dates. The moderator also confirmed that there’s no change to the general availability of the GeForce RTX 2080. “There is no change to GeForce RTX 2080 general availability, which is September 20th,” it was confirmed. Customers have had the opportunity to pre-order these graphic cards since last month when they were announced. However, some custom versions such as the RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition were quickly sold out, so it’s not really surprising to see that this high-end card is going to take just a little bit longer to arrive in stores.
