One of the most heartbreaking stories of the 2015 NFL draft was the one about cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. The former Oregon star was one of the best cornerback prospects in the entire draft class. A bit undersized but smart and physical with tremendous technique and ball skills. He was a near-lock to be taken in the first two rounds. Then on December 16, at a practice in preparation for Oregon’s Rose Bowl game, it all went wrong. Ekpre-Olomu went up to catch a pass thrown by an assistant coach, and on the way up twisted his knee. He ended up suffering a torn ACL, LCL and dislocated knee bone. His rookie season, and draft stock were lost. The Cleveland Browns signed Ekpre-Olomu as an undrafted free agent and stashed him away for the season. However, it’s now been reported that the Browns have decided to waive the cornerback.
